Recently, Venerable Shi Yanming, the President of China Shaolin Magazine Society, was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Welcoming the Double Festivals with Traditional Chinese Painting, Splashing Ink for Mount Song" held at Zhaojian Mountain Villa in Dengfeng, organized by Mr. Bai Yinhe, a member of the China Artists Association and Chairman of Dengfeng Artists Association.
Venerable Shi Yanming pointed out, "When it comes to cultural heritage, Beijing boasts a thousand years, Xi'an claims three thousand, the Central Plains represents five thousand, and Mount Song stands tall with an astounding eight thousand years of cultural history. The renowned Shaolin culture, though celebrated worldwide, is merely a shining fragment within the vast and splendid Mount Song culture. Mount Song, an ancient marvel, can be hailed as the ancestor of a myriad of mountains. 2.5 billion years ago, when the Earth was still submerged in a vast ocean, Mount Song emerged majestically, becoming the cradle for the propagation and flourishing of the Chinese nation. Here, the renowned cultures of Peiligang, Dahecun, and Yangshao were nurtured."
Mr. Bai Yinhe seamlessly integrates the essence of Mount Song culture with the traditional techniques of Chinese painting in his artworks, showcasing a distinctive artistic style. Venerable Shi Yanming expressed that Mr. Bai Yinhe, through his unique perspective, interprets the essence of traditional Chinese culture, presenting vivid cultural scrolls and revitalizing Mount Song culture with a renewed vigor.
Chairman Bai Yinhe of the Dengfeng Artists Association highly praised Venerable Shi Yanming for his outstanding contributions in combining Shaolin culture with charitable endeavors. He remarked, "Venerable Shi Yanming embodies the philosophy of 'Promoting Shaolin, Helping Others' through his practical actions, infusing new vitality into Shaolin culture through selfless dedication in charitable undertakings."
China Shaolin Magazine Society, as a significant platform for promoting Shaolin culture, actively responds to the national call for cultural heritage preservation. Through various forms of activities, the essence of Shaolin culture is disseminated to a wider audience. Venerable Shi Yanming's participation not only adds luster to this art exhibition but also garners broader recognition for Shaolin culture in the artistic sphere.
Also in attendance at the opening ceremony of this exhibition were Zhong Haitao, Chairman of the Zhengzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Zhang Hongwei, Chairman of the Dengfeng Political Consultative Conference, Liu Aiyu, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Dengfeng Municipal Committee and Party Secretary of the Dengfeng Federation of Industry and Commerce, and He Zhifeng, Chairman of the Dengfeng Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
